The Audacity of Pope chronicles my experiences undergoing treatment for testicular cancer. It’s sometimes funny, sometimes serious, sometimes a bit of a mix. And it has a happy ending—I’m cancer free since May. If you’re tuning in now, the story begins here (at the bottom of the page).
Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy.

I’m glad that you’re back to writing! I have a video of a day in kindergarten and I’ll make a copy for you. You were so cute and serious.
Hi Rafi,
Was with you omom a few weeks ago. Needless to say we are all thrilled with your clean bill of health. I have found your writing to be courageous, honest, rich, deep. You have moved me. I still picture you on the soccer field and strategizing on the basketball court.
It’s hard to really put yourself in someone else’s shoes, but you’ve really managed to write with such depth. I am glad that so many people tried to be with you in you fears, pain, surgery and treatment. It is indeed a testimony to the goodness in us all. It make me breath a sigh of relief in the midst of a world that could be so cynical.
I’m sure you will enjoy your time back at school and back in the midst of things. Thanks for all the wiriting and your inspiration.
Love,
Florence
I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award!
